André Rieu Hometown Concert 2012
André Rieu live in Maastricht
A 25th anniversary hometown concert by the legendary violinist and composer, live by satellite from the Netherlands.
Legendary 'King of the Waltz' Andre Rieu has made enormous strides in his mission to bring classical music to the masses. He's also one of the most globally successful touring and recording artists, with 20 million DVD and CD sales worldwide. The highlight of Andre's annual touring schedule is a massive outdoor concert set against the beautiful backdrop of his home town, Maastricht. Each year, thousands of fans travel from all over the world to participate in this amazing event, staged in the historic Vrijthof square.
The 2012 concert is even more special than usual, as its marks the 25th anniversary of Andre's fruitful collaboration with the Johann Strauss Orchestra. In addition to performing highlights of their work from the quarter of a century, they'll be joined by the incredible 150-piece Royal Choir Society, Maastrichter Staar.
